A MENS Four Ball Better Ball Open Competition was held at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, July 6 and the overall winners were Chris Back and Redd Cann with 48 points.

In second place were Matt Chamberlain and Rob Holland with 45 points after countback from in third Stuart Brealy and Bill Tucker also with 45 points.

Fourth place was awarded to Lewis Parry and D Trewin, again with 45 points.

The best visitor prize was won by Jeffrey Land and Timothy Nuttall (Taunton and Pickeridge) with 41 points and the second visitor prize was won by Michael Jordan and Mark Bolt (Bovey Tracey) with 40 points.

The ladies section played an individual medal competition and the winner was Ann Murray with nett 68.

Marcia Collett was second with nett 71 and Frances Harbron was third with nett 74.
