THE Ladies of Downes Crediton Golf Club took part in nine holes of golf on Thursday, December 14, followed by afternoon tea, provided by Steve and Kamil, which everyone enjoyed.  

On the conclusion of afternoon tea, the Downes Christmas presentation took place.  

Winners of the various trophies were Sue Jackson, Ying Wong, Joyce Gilg, Di Botterill, Liz Guildford, Sue Bond, Lyn Parry, Shirley Stunell and the ladies Captain, Rebecca Aven, who was also the winner on the day.  Congratulations to all winners, but a particular mention to Joyce, who, as well as winning the County Stableford Prize, has qualified for the next round of the Race to Woodhall Spa, having recorded the best four nett medal scores over the season.  

Another winner on the day was Sue Sparham who received the prize for the Best Christmas Jumper.
