ON Saturday, September 7, an individual medal competition for the Burd trophy was held at Okehampton Golf Club and the winner of Division One was Alan Grimshaw with a nett 65.

David Williams was second with nett 66, Paul Ham was third with nett 68 and Abby Turner was fourth after countback, also with nett 68.

Chris Walsh was the winner of Division Two with nett 65, Pete Okopski was second also with nett 65, Reggie Wonnacott was third with nett 67 and fourth place went to Alex Anderson with nett 68.

Division Three and the Burd Medal was won by Archie Grant with a great nett 60, beating his dad Pete who was second with nett 65, Stephen Pike was third with nett 67 and Tim Butler was fourth with nett 69.

The ladies section also entered an individual medal competition and the winner of Division One was Maggie Caws with nett 71, narrowly beating Penny Deakin on the back nine also with nett 71.

Sue Stanbury was third with nett 73.

Division Two was won by Elaine Marwood with nett 71, Julie Crook was second with nett 73 and Lin Atkinson was third with nett 73.
