A FOURBALL Better Ball Stableford competition was played at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, February 3, with both scores to count on the 10th.

The winners of Division One were Alan Hawking and Graham Pengelly with 46 points, Chris Back and Scott Gillespie were second with 44 points, Mark Bennett and Martyn Letchford were third with 44 points and Evan Rees and Mike Hubbard were fourth, also with 44 points.

Division Two was won by Andy Shapland and John Skyrme with 44 points after count back from, in second Ross Medlyn and Roger Slack also with 44 points.

Bob and Marcia Collett were third with 43 points and Clare Salter and Sue Stanbury were fourth with 42 points.

The Ladies Section played a three ball “Yellow peril” competition, yellow ball on the yellow card from the yellow tees with double points scored with the yellow ball.

The winners were Cherry James, Jane Warren and Sue Stanbury with 93 points closely followed into second by Frances Harbron, Maggie Caws and Judith Ezard with 92 points.
