A FOUR Ball Better Ball Stableford competition was held at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, November 25.

The winners of Division One were Paul Ayris and Paul Rattenbury with 47 points, Lee Pengelly and Chris Back were second with 45 points, Keith Harvey and Alan Lawson were third with 43 points and in fourth place were Malcolm Hooper and Lee Carey with 42 points.  

Division Two was won by Sue Stanbury and Vic Marks with an outstanding 52 points, Adrian Raymond and Dave Haines-Lawson were second with 45 points, Norman Heslop and Reggie Wonnacott took third position with 45 points and Graham Pengelly and Fred Cooke were fourth with 44 points.  

This was followed in the evening by a sumptuous inauguration dinner where the past year’s club captain, Gary Carey handed over the reins to the new incoming captain, Richard Johnson.  

On Sunday morning a good field entered a three ball two to count shotgun competition prior to the past captain’s “Putting Out” and the new captain’s “Driving In” and the winners were Steve Lawrence, Toby Gostling and David Rowe with 88 point.

Paul Douglas, Sue Stanbury and Paul Rogers were second with 86 points and Matt Mills, Mark Bennett and Kevin Harding were third with 84 points.
