DOWNES Crediton Golf Club seniors played the David Moss Vase on Monday, September 25.
David Taylor shot a superb score of 41 points to take the vase home and to take the top spot of Division One.
In Division Two, Chris Theedom scored 38 points to take the prize.
The Senior Medal Winners competition was also played on Monday when Rick Eidam scored a nett 72 to take this year’s trophy.
Philip Matten scored 37 points to win the mid-week stableford on Wednesday, September 27.
It was medal number 10 for Downes ladies on Thursday, September 28 in the Mapledoram Cup, in which Anne Woodger scored a nett 70 to take the top spot in the medal and win this year’s Mapledoram Trophy.
Fran Shrubsole, who scored a nett 74, finished in second place.
The winner of the nine-hole Thursday stableford was Trevor Sanders who scored 20 points.
It’s that time of year for greenkeepers to get their revenge on Downes members in the annual Greenkeepers Revenge competition which was played on Saturday, September 30.
The team of Steve Govier, David Slee, Rohan Hardeman and Simon Podd scored an unbelievable nett 53 (17 under) to win this year’s competition while the team of Neil Baker, Chris Drewe, Samuel Drewe and David Finnimore scored a nett 54 (16 under) to finish second.
