A FORMER pupil of Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton is running the length of Great Britain from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Andrew Melbourne, who is running the route for pleasure, passed north of Crediton on Thursday, July 20 during his solo run.
He is a keen runner and has run several ultra marathons and 513 park runs.
Andrew started his epic run on Monday, July 17 and is covering between 32 and 45 miles each day.
His family, who are supporting him, have hired a camper van and are leapfrogging him from campsite to campsite.
Andrew, who has a PhD, works at King’s College in London as a Senior Lecturer and Course Director in Healthcare Technologies.
At the time of going to press Andrew was in Staffordshire and is aiming to finish in mid-August.
