SATURDAY, November 2 saw many Crediton Youth FC sides see league cup action.

Once again, it was an exciting game for the U14’s. They hosted Exmouth United from the league above.

Goals from George Strawson and Luis Matthews saw the tie finish at 2-2.

It was always going to be a struggle when their first two penalties hit the post, and eventually they lost out to their guests.

The U12’s took on West Exe Rangers and it finished one apiece at Lords Meadow with Luke Beetlestone getting their goal. They held their nerve to go through on penalties.

It was the draw that no one wanted for the U10’s as both Crediton sides were pitched against each other. The Pumas edged out the Pumas to progress to the next round.

Both U9 sides are in the draw for the next stage.

The Panthers edged out West Exe Warriors in a thrilling game, with Jacob Hosegood and Leo Hill grabbing their goals.

It was an easier passage for the Pumas who made the long journey to Colyton. Alfie Vogwill, Ellis Buckingham, James Weetman and Luis Chenore amongst their goal scorers.

Both the U15’s and 16’s were awarded walk overs, so they also progress through to the next round.

Sunday was a special morning for Crediton Youth down at Lords Meadow as it hosted five girls age at home for the first ever time.

The U8’s entertained sides from Culm Sampford and Starcross Dons and enjoyed a fine morning of football.

Also taking on sides from Starcross Dons were the U10 girls.

The big game of the day, saw the U12 Youth side take on Twyford Spartans. It was a tight affair with Izzy Steward with a cracker getting the only goal of the game, which saw them go top of the table.

All the girls battled really well, with Lexi Kelland and Neneh Richards taking the player of the match awards.

Paignton Villa Clarets were the U14’s guests and they outclassed the Crediton girls to show why they are one of the top sides in the league.

The U16 girls put up a superb performance against top of the table Buckland Athletic but they eventually lost out 3-0.

Back to winning ways were the U18’s with a 7-0 home victory over Ottery St Mary. The goals were evenly spread around with Ben Harvey, Calum Lethbridge, Jack Perry, James Smith, Louis Garnsworthy, Rhys Ebdy and Zack Mildon all on target.

Also winning again at home, were the U12 Development side. They had a fine 6-1 result against Okehampton. Thomas Levitt led the way with a hat-trick, Lucas Greenwood, Merryn Eatherley and Seb Conridge getting their goals.
