CREDITON Youth Football Club was delighted to be able to once again hold its annual end of season presentation events.
The decision to move the event pitchside on the main pitch at Lords Meadow on a hot sunny day, was voted a great success by all who attended.
Club Chairman Adrian Harvey opened each of the three sessions with a brief run down of the season and also mentioned many of the upcoming projects down at Lords Meadow, and that U18’s football would be returning to the club again next season.
He thanked everyone for all their support during the covid times, especially the covid committee members who worked extremely hard to get the return of football for the players.
Overall it had been an outstanding season for the club results wise. Also membership had returned to just under 300 members. But most importantly it had seen the first full season of football since the 2018-19 season.
Participation trophies and medals were handed out to all players by their coaches, and Harry Kite from Exeter City presented the individual age group awards.
Simon Stevens presented the Roche Cup for the best overall contribution/achievement to the U12’s for their fine season, which saw them finish as League and Cup winners.
The Chairman’s award went to Steve Lethbridge in recognition for all the hard work he had put in running both the U13 girls and U15 boys sides.
Matt Norman presented the Vice Chairman’s award to Richard Philp for his outstanding contribution to the club. Richard is always one of the first to volunteer for any tasks, and helps out with two age groups as well.
The club person of the season went jointly to Martin and Sally Anne Daniel for all the hard work they put in behind the scenes and especially their contribution to the annual tournament.
