ON Tuesday, August 17 the Lapford team travelled to Appledore for a friendly football match and came away with a 3-0 win.
Well done lads - and still unbeaten!
On to the new season starting with a visit to Okehampton to play the Reserves with a kick-off time of 6.30pm.
After a good winning start we look forward to tomorrow (Saturday, August 28) to the home match against Lyme Regis. It should be interesting after the play-off at Topsham with a win for Lapford 1-0. This means two wins, one draw and one lost to Lapford.
Coming up will be matches against Kentisbeare, Ottery St Mary Reserves and Lyme Regis.
With 13 teams in the Premier Division on match days it should be six matches with one team having a day off.
In the draw for the Devon Premier Cup Lapford have a bye in the first round along with lots of other teams, including Devon League teams so only six teams are drawn to play.
Many thanks to the sponsors and our hardcore supporters plus many more.
So onwards and upwards and good luck to all.
