AT last some dry weather allowed a considerable amount of Crediton Youth fixtures to be played last weekend.
The U15’s hosted Topsham Town and eventually edged out their guests 2-1 with Charlie Turney and Zach Mildon getting the goals.
It was a good few days for the U14’s. They followed up Thursday night’s 6-4 victory against Alphington with a convincing win over Exmouth United at Lords Meadow on Saturday.
Alfie Williams Greenwood and Seb Roche both got hat-tricks, Ashley Henderson, Fletcher Clark, Jake Shepherd, Joseph Walter and Zak Cheriet also amongst the goals.
Thursday night’s goals came from Zak Cheriet with a hat-trick, two from Seb Roche and another from Jake Stagg. Amazingly, they have only just hit the midway point of their season.
Also at home were the U13’s who again had another high scoring game. They lost out 10-3 to West Exe City. Amber Zhang, Jimmy Orchard and Luis Matthews on target for them.
The U11’s returned to action with a 3-1 win away at Rockbeare. Finn Moore, Joseph Charlesworth and Will Mullen got the goals.
It was a busy Sunday at Lords Meadow as four girls age groups were all at home.
The U15’s were probably pleased with their result against Torquay United Community Sports Yellows.
They led the league leaders 2-1 at half-time, but eventually lost out 6-2 to an unbeaten Torquay side. Amy Lockyer and Isabella Ferrante got the home side’s goals.
It was late heartbreak for the U13’s who lost out late on to Stoke Hill 2-1, having led for most of the game through a Lexi Mullen goal.
The U11 Blues hosted Feniton and a great team performance saw them enjoy a fine victory. Amongst their goal scorers were Emily Walshe, Flo Sandover, Molly Carr and Talia Greenwood.
Also back in action were the U9 girls who hosted Exmouth United and they enjoyed being back on a grass pitch.
The afternoon saw the U18’s take on Elmore at Lords Meadow. They had to settle for a point as it ended one apiece, with Finn Warren getting the Crediton goal.
