CREDITON Youth Football Club ran its annual visit down to Home Park for the Match Day Magic Experience at Plymouth Argyle.
On arrival the party of 50, made up mainly of players from the Under 10 and 11 age groups, had a guided tour of the stadium and dressing rooms. After that they had a one-hour training session with coaches from the Argyle Football in the Community team in the indoor training area at the Live Centre.
After lunch the group made their way to the stadium for the game against Crewe Alexander. The club could not have chosen a better fixture with it being the last home game of the season, with Argyle already promoted and pushing for the league title.
The stadium was a sell out and the atmosphere was electric. Despite going a goal behind Argyle came back to win 2-1 to really up the celebrations.
With a strange twist of fate the Argyle fans gave an enormous cheer when they heard that Exeter City had beaten their closest rivals Doncaster Rovers 3-1, to give them a massive advantage in their quest for the title. Something you may never hear at Home Park again!
Crediton Youth Vice Chairman, Adrian Harvey, said a big thank you must go to Martin Daniel and Mike Edworthy for organising another great day out and to everyone at Plymouth Argyle for making it such a fantastic experience.
