CREDITON United Football Club has presented £120 to Crediton Foodbank, the profit from a successful 80s and 90s disco it held at the football club.
The disco, held on Saturday, November 25, was hosted by D and I Disco, from Crediton, with Ben Clark, a presenter with East Devon Radio.
Organiser Ian Cann thanked all those who attended, Hedgerow Print, Crediton Football Club, D and I Disco for paying for posters and tickets, Ben Clark and Paint Pots of Devon for selling tickets.
Fiona Cochran, who received the donation, said that the Foodbank was very busy at the time and was well-stocked due to a recent weekend collection of donated food items held at Crediton Tesco superstore.
She added, however, that with demand so high, she had concerns at how long there would be sufficient food on the shelves for those in need.
Ian added that Crediton Football Club was running a Guess the Name of the Snowman competition to win a festive hamper donated by Clare Cann.
Tickets are available at £2 each from Ian Cann, email: [email protected] .
A bingo evening will take place at Crediton Football Club on Monday, January 8, with eyes down at 7.30pm.
