IT was another busy week for Crediton Youth FC sides as midweek fixtures started on top of a big weekend of football.
The U15s were back to their winning ways as they put in a tremendous team performance at home against Abbot Athletic. Charlie Oram impressed again and led the way with a brace, with Ashley Henderson and Fletcher Clark completing the scoring.
It was midweek action for the U14s who lost out 3-2 away at Whipton Youth. They were 3-0 down at half time. Goals from Dan Cavanagh and Jimmy Orchard brought them back into the game, and only a last-minute goal line clearance prevented them from gaining a point.
It was not a bad week for the U13s. Midweek action saw them beat Central Corinthians 5-0 with Jayden Saunders grabbing two goals with Edward Lippolis, Josh Stansfield and Okan Zorlu also amongst the goals for the home side.
Saturday saw the long journey to Axminster Tigers. Goals from Ellis Friend and Okan Zorlu saw them share the points in a 2-2 draw.
Two big away results for the U12s saw them climb to the top of the table. On Saturday, they edged out Hemyock 2-1 with Jacob Harling and Luke Beetlestone getting on the scoresheet.
On Sunday, it was another 2-1 victory with Radu Motorola grabbing both goals against Culm Sampford Leopards.
It was midweek action for the U11s as they made the short journey to Alphington Youth. Player of the match Noah Pugsley netted a hattrick to give them a tremendous victory.
The U9s had a great morning as they had three wins and a draw against Cranbrook sides.
Back in action were the U7s who had a mini tournament at Heavitree. Both the Panthers and Pumas enjoyed a fine morning as they returned with just one defeat.
Sunday saw the U16s get the upper hand against Torquay United Community Sports Yellows.
One nil down at the break, two goals from Lily Anne Smith and another from Evie Lewis saw the home side run out 3-1 winners.
It was not to be the U12 Blues girls morning as they lost out at home to Newton Fire.
There were lots of smiles for the U8 girls as they had two wins and a draw in a mini tournament held at Newton Poppleford. Gracie Gillon and Lily Edwardes got their first ever goals with Amelia Holland also amongst the goals.
