THERE is now a chance to take part in pickle ball sessions at two Mid Devon leisure centres.
A dynamic fusion of tennis, badminton, and ping-ping, pickleball has taken the sports community by storm and is now available for all ages and skill levels at Mid Devon District Council's leisure centres in Crediton and Cullompton.
Played with hard paddles and a lightweight plastic waffle ball, the game is suitable for singles or pairs, indoors or outdoors.
Discover the joy of pickleball at Culm Valley, Cullompton (evenings from 5pm and weekends) and at Lords Meadow, Crediton (daytimes, evenings, and weekends).
Councillor David Wulff, Mid Devon District Council's Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure, said: “Over the Christmas period, Councillor Luke Taylor and I took part in a spirited pickleball session at Culm Valley. It was great social game to help work off all of the Christmas chocolates.
“Mid Devon Leisure’s offering is a great chance to have fun, with some added fitness benefits in 2024.”
Pickleball offers a fantastic activity for individuals and families alike. Membership is not required and all necessary equipment, including adult and junior paddles are provided.
