LOCAL fundraisers, Emma Mitchell and her son Dakota Mitchell, recently took part in a tandem skydive at Dunkeswell Airfield, near Honiton to raise money for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF), a charity close to their hearts.
Emma and Dakota skydived 15,000 feet and raised an amazing £1,200 through sponsorship. This was donated to ELF whose vision is to ensure that every family affected by a blood cancer or blood disorder across the South West receives compassionate, tailored support.
Emma, who is an employee at the Crediton Tesco store at Wellparks, said: "You don’t realise how many people have leukaemia until you take part in fundraising events.
"I would also like to mention FORCE Cancer Charity which provides essential cancer treatment and support close to home."
Emma has also raised funds by holding tombolas and bucket collections.
