THE Royal British Legion is looking for teams of four to take part in the “Exmoor 30:30” in October, an event organised by Soldier 30:30.

The challenge for the physically fit, involves carrying 30lbs of kit over either 30 miles or 30km of the inspiring and beautiful Exmoor, navigating across varied terrain.

The challenge starts and finishes at Memorial Hall, Exford, Somerset, TA24 7PP. It begins early on Saturday, October 14 and teams need to register at race control by 10pm on Friday, October 13.

The competition event is divided into three classes: Open, Wounded or Insider. Within each class prizes will be awarded according to course (30 miles or 30 km), gender (male, female, mixed) and age (junior, peak, senior).

Team Places are limited so the advice is to sign up soon.

Entry fee is £50 per person and the minimum sponsorship is £250 per team member (£1,000 minimum per team of four).
