THE Devon Rotary Youth Games will take place on Sunday, July 3 at Simmons Park, Okehampton.
The annual event sees hundreds of young people from across the county compete in a range of sports.
Mid Devon District Council has arranged a programme of trial dates at which team managers will be selecting teams for the district to compete at the event.
This is a great opportunity for Mid Devon children (either at school or living in the district) to represent the district at this prestigious annual event.
If your child or grandchild is interested in badminton, boccia, football (girls), high 5’s, hockey, indoor athletics, kwik cricket, netball, rugby (tag and touch), street sports (BMX, skateboarding and scootering), tennis or triathlon and would like to take part in the trials, see the details on the website, where there is up-to-date information and trial registration forms: www.middevon.gov.uk/dyg .
The trials for boccia, indoor athletics, netball and triathlon will take place at the Lords Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton and the touch rugby trial will take place at Crediton Rugby Club.
Those who want to take part must not have competed at county, regional or national level for the sport.
