AT the recent Sandford Cricket Club AGM, Andy Gibson officially handed over the Treasurer’s job he has handled so efficiently for the Club over the past 31 years to Tracy Matthews.

Having moved from “Up North” down to Crediton 41 years ago to take up the position as Financial Director of Mole Avon, he was eventually coerced into taking on the role as Sandford CC’s Treasurer having played cricket for the Club for the previous 10 years, and which he continued to do up until only a few years ago.

At the AGM Chairman Mike Discombe and President Andy Glass both thanked him for the service he had given the Club.

A presentation of some holiday vouchers was made to Gibbo at the Club’s Presentation Evening some weeks ago.

Tracy was thanked by Secretary Paul Smith for now undertaking her new role, and that she would be expected to do so for the next 31 years.
