HEAVY rain during the week saw all the grass pitches at Lords Meadow in Crediton unplayable at the weekend.

The league fixtures produced a host of derby matches for those sides fortunate to get an away game.

It was a top of the table clash for the U15s as they made the short journey to Newton St Cyres.

Ben Betts scored another double, further goals came from Charlie Cookson, Gabriel Smith and Jack Brimilcombe and saw them return with a 5-0 victory.

The U11s were at Bradninch and they proved too strong for their hosts. Jayden Saunders, Casey Philp, Ellis Friend, Josh Stansfield and Oliver Brimilcombe were amongst the goal scorers for Crediton.

Copplestone was the U9s destination and both the Panthers and Pumas returned with victories against their local rivals.

Sunday saw the astro courts come to the rescue as the U10 development side hosted Bradninch.

It was a great start for new coach Kev Payne as they edged out their guests. Amongst their goal scorers were Ben Turner, Fode Sylla, Luke Beetlestone and Seb Conridge.

The U10 girls entertained sides from Cullompton and Exmouth. Prior to the games the Crediton girls were kindly presented with new kits by their sponsors Westcotts.

All at the club are again extremely grateful to them for their continued support to the side and to grassroots football.

There were some great individual performances from many of the new players, which saw Emily Walshe and Talia Greenwood get on the scoresheet along with Merryn Eatherley - but results on the day did not go their way.

The U18s were away at Central Youth but they went down 7-3 to the Exeter side. Sam Price scored two and Finn Warren also scored.
