MORCHARD Bishop Bowling Club hosted its annual Couples Bowls Tournament on Sunday in glorious sunshine.

The event, which has prize money and a cup donated by Morchard Bishop life member Keith Partridge, was won by Nikki and Terry Mitchell from Tiverton West End Bowling Club.

Runner’s-up were Lesley and Kevin Finan from Tiverton Borough Bowling Club.

The event is played over four matches of eight ends, with a sumptuous lunch at halfway. 

Bowling Clubs from all across Mid and South Devon were represented, including Exonia, South Molton, Hemyock, Topsham and Heavitree as well as Morchard Bishop.
