LAPFORD AFC played in the East Devon Seniors Cup quarter final against Crediton United Reserves under floodlights and with two referee linesmen, employed by Crediton United management.
There were two quick goals by Lapford plus one more before half-time for a 3-0 lead.
After half-time there were three more to run out winners by 6-0.
This result means Lapford AFC will be at home against Alphingotn Reserves later on this season.
On to the Premier Division match, at home to Beer Albion, the Devon Premier Cup finalists were beaten 4-1 for another double result for Lapford, although Beer did score first on seven minutes.
Lapford scored on 27 minutes to go in level at half-time at 1-1, but in the second half Lapford upped the pressure to score on 62, 80 and 87 minutes to win by 4-1.
With Lapford and Thorverton having played 20 matches each, Lapford are still top of the Premier Division by five points and the goal difference gets better every match - it is now at 64 goals.
On Saturday, April 16 Lapford are away at Elmore Reserves with a 3pm kick-off.
