The Lapford angler was casting from the far bank out into open mid-water depths and finished his session with a total of four fish.
All Dan’s catches were commons with weights being 14lbs, 16lbs and 17lbs 8oz and his big catch set him a new personal best record to beat.
Largest bag of 21 fish once again went to Mike Izzard. The Crediton angler fished in the first swim on right bank using surface tactics and all of his catches were commons up to 17lbs in weight.
A fantastic result was had by Natasha Harrison. The Tedburn St Mary angler fished three-quarters of the way up on the left bank and after a slowish session things really did pick up and she banked a lovely specimen common which tipped the scales to 23lbs 9oz giving her a well-deserved new personal best catch.
Natasha also banked a 4lbs green tench – joint heaviest for the week, along with a single figure carp.
Another great result came from Mel Bailey, from Crediton, another female angler on her first Creedy session.
She hooked herself a new personal best catch which scaled an impressive 20lbs 4oz which was thrilling. Mel then went on to tempt another nice double figure common which weighed 16lbs 9oz.
Her partner Rob Bradley went for quantity and not quite the quality whilst fishing in an adjacent swim. He banked nine fish in total with one tench plus eight commons including five doubles topped by a pair of 14 pounders.
Crediton’s Martin Tickner tempted out four commons with the best weighing18lbs 2oz.
James Sandford of Tedburn St Mary had a four-fish bag with two singles and two doubles best of 17lbs 7oz.
Black Dog angler Elias Crang enjoyed his sport whilst fishing on the top lake and he ended his session with a five fish bag. His catches, all commons, were topped with one weighing 17lbs 12oz.
