ESME, a dedicated Yoga teacher and shiatsu massage practitioner from Yeoford, is hosting a “SwapFest” on Saturday, October 12.

It will take place at Yeoford Village Hall (EX15 5HZ), from 10am to 1pm and attendees are asked to pay £2 admission and encouraged to take along clothing to exchange.

Esme's “SwapFest” event promotes sustainable fashion, fosters community spirit and connection, while also raising funds for a cause that touches her family personally.

Esme explained: “This huge community clothes swap event is aimed at raising funds for the charity 'Second Sight'.

“As a parent of a visually impaired young man, this initiative is close to my heart.

“Second Sight's mission is to eradicate cataract blindness in Bihar, one of India’s poorest states.

“Over the past 24 years, funded entirely by volunteers, this small charity has successfully restored sight to over 550,000 individuals suffering from cataract blindness, also playing a crucial role in preventing blindness from various other eye diseases.

"I am hoping this event will be a fun morning, bringing people together, sharing and swapping pre-loved items, while also supporting a charity with local ties that is making life changing differences to those currently affected by blindness."

There will be fresh home baked cakes and refreshments, time to relax together in the specially decorated hall, with music, mock changing rooms, mirrors and comfortable lounge areas to sit and relax while perusing the treasure available for just £1 per item!
