HAYWARD'S Primary School celebrated World Book Day a week early (on Friday, March 1), in order to include Year 6 students who are this week going on a residential and would have missed out.
The children and staff at the Crediton school had a wonderful day.
They dressed up as book characters, took part in book themed activities and shared books across the year groups, all topped off with a visit from The Bookery in the afternoon with books for sale and book vouchers to give out.
The Bookery staff were delighted to see so many children really engaged in buying and sharing books and hearing about the level of support with reading they get at school and at home.
