BACK Lane in Sandford is set to be closed 24 hours a day for several weeks for a roof to be re-thatched.

The road will be closed from 7am on Monday, March 24, but for how long is not certain.

A Devon County Council traffic order says it is scheduled to end 27 days later on Sunday, April 20, but a road closure sign in Sandford says it will be shut for five weeks.

Moreover, the traffic order directs people to telephone SMP Scaffolding on 01363 82494 for more information, while the sign says people should telephone Sunbelt Rentals on 0370 050 0792.

The diversion route in the traffic order is via Kennerleigh, Black Dog, Thelbridge Cross, Chawleigh, the A377 through Copplestone and Crediton, Jockey Hill and vice versa.
