A RATHER misty day greeted Crediton Walk and Talk walking group as we set off from Crediton station to commence a steady climb across fields to Barnfield and Lower QE school.

From there we followed the track and field paths towards Salmonhutch which afforded a somewhat limited view across to Posbury and beyond.

After a brief pause we resumed our walk down to cross over the railway and entered the fields which led back via Fordton and the transport for a coffee break close by.

Crediton Walk and Talk group meet fortnightly at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre at 9.45am.

Walks start from the Lords Meadow Leisure Centre or nearby villages and take around 90 minutes, covering about three miles but this does not include travelling times.

Anyone is welcome and walks are free to join. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, as long as they are kept on a short lead.

The next walk is on Friday, September 1.
