CHULMLEIGH College is delighted with the KS4 GCSE data, just released to schools by the Department for Education.
The data shows that their 2022 GCSE results are, yet again, amongst the very best in the South West and in the top three per cent nationally.
Michael Johnson, Executive Headteacher said: “We are delighted with our results this year and believe there is more to come from Chulmleigh.
2022 is the eighth year in a row in which our results show very high levels of attainment and progress.
“There are many highlights in the results, but it is particularly pleasing that so many of our pupils have achieved so much from taking the EBacc suite of highly academic subjects.
“This is in line with our aim to ensure that all of our pupils leave the College as well-educated young people.
“We are incredibly proud of our whole school community.
“We recognise that a good school is about much more than academic results, and we are very proud of the educational offer at Chulmleigh, which is further enhanced by music, drama, outdoor education, sports teams, and much, much more.
“All these ingredients play a very important part in our consistent story.”
Mrs Vivien Hampson, parent of two children at Chulmleigh College said: This news is a brilliant endorsement of the outstanding teaching and fantastic support offered at Chulmleigh College.
“Children are encouraged to do their absolute best regardless of their starting point, and I cannot speak highly enough of the school and its dedicated, caring staff.
“We sent our two daughters to Chulmleigh, despite living out of catchment, because the school offers such outstanding learning opportunities.
“As a result, they have both been very happy and have really thrived”.
