UPDATE: NOW CLEARED: The lorry was removed and the road is now clear at 10.15am today, Tuesday, January 14. Traffic queues are still heavy throughout the town.

AN articulated lorry leaving Crediton Dairy has broken down in Union Road, outside Crediton Parish Church, and is causing serious traffic issues in the town.

Long queues of traffic are currently in both directions on the A377 in the town and with traffic lights on Blagdon, traffic issues are not helped.

Small vehicles going down through the town can pass on one side of the road.

Small vehicles coming from the Exeter direction are passing the lorry using the inside pavement.

Motorists are advised of the delays and pedestrians advised to take care.

Further updates as we have them.
