A TV FITNESS star has visited two primary schools in the Crediton area.

Zack “Steel” George of BBC television programme Gladiators spoke about healthy and active living and answered pupils’ questions at Cheriton Fitzpaine Primary School and Landscore Primary School on Tuesday, April 22.

Students also received free signed water bottles and photos.

Mr George, who is 34 years old and from Leicester, won the UK CrossFit Open in 2020 and has been dubbed “the UK’s fittest man”.

Gladiators attracts millions of viewers. Episodes feature two men and two women competing against elite athletes – the eponymous Gladiators – in a variety of difficult fitness events.

Mr George visited the local schools just a fortnight after the death of his son Leo, who was born prematurely.
