A THUNDERSTORM over Crediton caused disruption for motorists and swift action by many residents to prevent their homes from suffering from resultant floods.

The usual areas of the town, Mill Street and Exeter Road as well as many other areas were inches deep in water, pavements disappearing underneath, from 3pm on Saturday, May 18.

Higher Road is currently only passable with care in a high wheel-based vehicle.

Some manhole covers have lifted in various areas in the town.
