THREE "bumper" cheques were presented to local charities at a meeting of The Rotary Club of Crediton (Boniface) held at the New Inn, Coleford.
Cheques for £800 each went to Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Muscular Dystrophy and Exeter Leukaemia Fund.
The cheques were presented by the landlord of the New Inn, George Cowie and the President of the Rotary Club of Crediton (Boniface), Paul Smith.
Receiving the cheques were George Palin from DAAT and Dale Edwards, chief executive ELF. No representative for Muscular Dystrophy was able to attend.
Mr Cowie explained that £1,900 of the total had been raised from a Christmas draw held at the public house. The remainder was raised at quiz evenings held at the public house.
Mr Cowie explained that the quiz evenings, held on the last Sunday of each month, were very popular.
He added that last year, the public house had been able to present £1,400 to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the Children's Hospice South West.
The charity representatives, Mr Palin and Mr Edwards, thanked the public house and its customers and the Rotarians for their donations.
