CREDITON firefighters held their third car wash in aid of The Firefighters’ Charity on Saturday, March 30 and many people had their cars washed.

The firefighters washed dozens of cars to support their Station Watch Manager Neil Hargreaves with his fundraising for The Firefighters’ Charity.

Neil will be running the London Marathon on Sunday, April 21 in aid of the charity

.Neil, a fitness adviser with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS), and fellow crew based at Crediton, previously held two successful car washes at Crediton Fire Station.

Neil explained that more than £2,000 has been raised by himself and his colleagues to-date, thanks to many generous people and businesses.

He added that on April 21, during the morning while he is running the London Marathon, his colleagues will be taking part in a sponsored row on a rowing machine in Crediton Town Square.

Donations, support and raffle prizes would be welcomed.
