AS we start the New Year I want to thank the local churches who responded so generously to my letters calling for Peace Vigils in response to the various atrocities committed upon innocent people in the Middle East. Holy Cross Church began with a wonderful and moving Meditation for peace lead by Preb Nigel Guthrie.  This was followed by an equally inspiring service for peace at St Boniface Roman Catholic Church. Nearer to home the Congregational Church had a Justice Day for people in this country.  This was a splendid and inspiring, as well as a well-thoughtout day. And finally our newest Church here in Crediton, The Orthodox Mission, have devoted a weekend of prayer for Peace in Iraq and Syria. Thank you all for responding so magnificently and let us continue to put our trust in our fellow and very caring church community for all that they do in the cause of Peace and Justice for all.
