RESIDENTS at Clifford Gardens in Crediton enjoyed a tea party on Friday, May 8, to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Observing social distancing residents sat at small strategically placed tables to enjoy an afternoon tea, socialise, dance and listen to music in the gardens, which were decorated with Union flags and bunting.
The event was organised by Pam Dobson, with a group of helpers from Clifford Gardens.
Many donned 40’s inspired and patriotic costumes and accessories.
Some of the residents reminisced and shared their own memories of World War Two and VE Day.
