YOUNG people from 2nd Crediton Rainbows enjoyed a summer activity day during the holidays and completed the Fabulous Food Challenge Badge.
Brown Owl Caroline Isaac, said: "The Rainbows had voted during the previous term on which badge they wanted to do and this one had the most votes.
"They made placemats and decorated aprons, mixed, baked and decorated cakes, decorated a glass, cooked a marshmallow over a t-light and made a snack and a pizza for lunch.
"They played pizza beetle, had an ice cream scavenger hunt and played a game of beans.
"They also made a bonfire biscuit with icing and sweets. They completed an experiment with fruit to find out why it goes brown when left out in the air and learnt which food groups food belongs to."
Special thanks went to Charley, Amelia and Gemma for their extra help during the day and to Brown Owl and Tawny Owl for organising the day.
