STORM BERT is continuing to batter Devon and at Crediton the A377 has been closed by the police at Downes Corner, near Ladds due to severe flooding.
The floods were three feet deep at that location just moments ago.
Police have closed the road at Tesco roundabout and at Hookway Cross.
Yeoford is severely flooded, there is a tree blocking the road from Copplestone to Bow at Copplestone on the B3072.
The road between the Beer Engine in Newton St Cyres and Shobrooke Park is very deep near Creedy Barton Farm and the advice is not to attempt to drive through.
There are currently more than 4,280 homes without power in Devon says National Grid, including at Winkleigh and many locally.
The A377 is closed in the Eggesford/Chenson area due to three trees down and there is also a fallen tree at Kingsnympton on the A377.
Many rivers in Devon are on flood alert.
With the Met Office Yellow weather warnings in place still today across Devon for wind and rain, Devon County Council is reminding people of the following advice:
- Be alert to fallen trees and branches
- Consider if your journey is essential and allow additional time
- Never drive through floodwater
- Reduce speed and increase following distance
