NATIONAL Grid report that there are almost 700 homes without power in the Crediton area and add that further to saying the fault would be repaired by 11am, it has changed this to 2pm.

Motorists are advised that pedestrians will need to walk on the road to pass the fallen tree.

A points failure and tree down across the line has stopped trains between Crediton and Exeter.

Earlier 150 students travelling on a train to Exeter had to disembark at Crediton Station.
