SINCE consultant Angela Egmore took over the Crediton Slimming World Group, held at the Boniface Centre every Thursday, the group has chosen a different charity to support each year and has donated to Macmillan Nurses, Somerset Flood Victims, Teenagers with Cancer, and FORCE.

This past year, from January 2015 to December 2015, the chosen charity has been Children’s Hospice South West - Little Bridge House at Barnstaple.

Angela was delighted with the results and said: “I was really hoping we would raise lots for such a good cause; my goodness my members have excelled themselves.

“I shall be forwarding a cheque in the sum of £1,000 to Little Bridge House.

“This is such a good cause and is close to the hearts of many of our members. “This hospice not only look after terminally ill children, but also help the whole family.

“This year they are celebrating their 25 year anniversary.

“We have decided to continue to raise funds for this so deserving of causes for a further 12 months, who knows, perhaps we can raise even more in 2016.

“As you can see Slimming World members are really good at raising ’pounds’, well, they are terrific at losing ’pounds’ too!”

In the past 12 months Crediton Slimming World Group (Boniface Centre), has lost a grand total of 7,276lbs, which is 519 stone (three and a quarter tons!)
