CREDITON Farmers’ Market has announced the cancellation of the Market which was due to take place in Crediton Town Square on Saturday, December 7.

Taking to social media it said: “Due to Storm Darragh and an Amber weather warning for Saturday, December 7, we are regretfully cancelling the market.

“Some producers will be on the Square, trading from their vehicles.

“Please contact individual producers direct if there is something specific that you require.

“Next market - Saturday, December 21.”

Crediton Farmers’ Market uses gazebos for stalls on the Town Square for most attendees and it is unable to use these in strong winds.

The Friends of Crediton Library Second Hand Book and DVDs Sale stall, which was due to be held on the Town Square alongside the Farmers’ Market, will now go ahead in Crediton Library.

It will take place from 10am until 12.30pm.
