To AMUSE the children this summer, Crediton residents are invited to walk along the footpath from Crediton into Sandford to explore the village and complete the scarecrow trail, available from Sandford Community Stores.

The Stores, a non profit organisation that supports local charities, has invested in a top of the range new coffee machine that ensures the perfect cup of coffee made with freshly ground Exe coffee, served with an array of treats - a choice of delicious Cocorico cakes, Peck and Strong favourites and homemade shortbread.

If its a hot day, the Stores has a freezer full of locally produced Taw River ice creams and a large range of refreshing lollies and ices.

The advice is to either enjoy sitting on the benches outside the Lamb, or get a takeaway and go down to the playground or Millennium Green.

The Stores, which is run by a committee from the community, has a wide range of stock, from essentials to Devon produced presents and foods and locally grown organic flowers - no sprays, no plastic.
