A SCHEME to give people better 4G reception indoors in rural areas through mobile signal boosters has been revived.
The Connecting Devon and Somerset Mobile Boost Scheme allows businesses and households to apply for a voucher of up to £1,300 towards the cost of one of several mobile signal booster options from a registered scheme supplier.
“The value of the voucher depends on the type of technology most suitable for the premises in question,” a spokesperson said.
“It is down to the applicant to research which of the suppliers can install in their area, contacting the supplier directly to redeem the voucher and arrange to have the equipment installed at the premises.”
Applicants must pay for installation themselves. Homes and businesses need some outdoor mobile coverage for the technology to work.
