THE Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface held its 30th Anniversary Dinner and President’s Night on Friday, July 21 at the Fox and Hounds Hotel at Eggesford.

A welcome to Rotarians and guests was given by Rtn Garry Adams the President for 2023-2024.

Past President Rtn Mike Davis said the Grace and the Loyal Toast was made by the President.  A delicious meal was enjoyed by the 44 people present. 

Rtn Paul Evans delivered a Speech on the formation of the New Rotary Club in 1993 which was known as Crediton Boniface, to distinguish it from the then existing Rotary Club of Crediton.

It was noted that present during the evening there were 12 past presidents of Crediton Boniface, five Rotarians who had moved over after the original Rotary Club closed and four members who were founder members of Crediton Boniface. 

Rtn Paul Radnor followed with a speech entitled “Recollections of 30 years in Rotary”, he being one of the founder members of the Club.

The President's Night was for Rtn Liz Ledsham, who talked eloquently on the Highlights of her Year.

The last speaker was Rtn David Glover - District Governor 2023-24 for Devon and Cornwall District 1175, who delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the guests.

Finally President Garry Adams invited all present to toast Rotary and Rotarians around the World.

There was lots of reminiscing and jokes shared during the evening and all agreed it was a very enjoyable event.

The Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface was pleased to say that it has raised just over £13K for local charities this year.
