CHERITON Fitzpaine Parish Council is seeking a voluntary road warden to help keep the local area clean.

Duties would include clearing weeds, cleaning signs, clearing drains, asset management, repairing finger posts and reporting potholes and road issues to the clerk or online.

The position may suit one person or a group of people working together. Training can be given to up to three people.

Devon County Council will provide all training free of charge.

“Other parishes within the area have found the scheme to be successful and helps with keeping the local community clean, tidy and well looked after,” a spokesperson said.
