Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27, lane closure for drainage works.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further 15 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 - lane closures for carriageway reconstruction/renewals.
• M5, from 8pm February 7 to 6am February 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 entry slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 28.
• M5, from 8pm February 8 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 exit slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 29 and return.
• A30, from 7pm February 9 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Whiddon Down lane closure for horticultural works.
• M5, from 8pm February 9 to 6am February 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 entry slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 26.
• M5, from 8pm February 9 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 - lane closures for carriageway reconstruction/renewals.
• M5, from 8pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southern part of, junction 27 roundabout closed (Devon network) for structure maintenance. Diversion via, junction 28 and back or B3181, Willand Road, Post Hill, Blundell's Road, A396 and vice versa.
• A30, from 7pm February 12 to 5am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, South Tawton lane closure for horticultural works.
• M5, from 8pm February 12 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 lane closures for road markings.
• A30, from 8pm February 12 to 6am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Cheriton Bishop to Whiddon Down - lane closure for structural inspection works.
• M5, from 8pm February 13 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 exit slip road closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via M5 northbound to junction 27 and return to exit.
• M5, from 8pm February 13 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to 26 lane closures for road markings.
• A30, from 8pm February 14 to 6am February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Cheriton Bishop to Whiddon Down - lane closure for structural inspection works.
• M5, from 8pm February 15 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 carriageway closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181.
• A30, from 8pm February 19 to 6am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Whiddon Down entry slip road closed for structural inspections. Diversion via A30 eastbound to Cheriton Bishop and return to exit.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
