Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 5pm July 15 to 4am July 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 28 to junction 29, lane closure for emergency barrier repairs.
• M5, from 8pm July 15 to 6am July 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to junction 26 carriageway closure for structure inspections, diversion via A38 and Chelston Link.
• M5, from 8pm July 16 to 6am July 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to junction 27 carriageway closure for structure inspections, diversion via Chelston Link and A38.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
