Mid Devon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A30, from 7pm April 22 to 6am May 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 westbound, Ide to Woodleigh carriageway closure for urgent horticultural works, diversion via - Ide village road, Tedburn road, Five Mile Hill, Huishlane end, Goldcross Hill.

M5, from 8pm April 22 to 6am April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 lane closures for resurfacing works.

M5, from 9pm April 22 to 6am April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 entry slip road closed for resurfacing works. Diversion via southbound to junction 28, to turn and return northbound.

M5, from 8pm April 24 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 27, lane closure for signs maintenance.

M5, from 8pm April 24 to 6am April 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 27 lane closures for resurfacing works.

M5, from 8pm April 25 to 4am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions J28 to J29 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 9pm April 25 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
