A LOCAL man is offering a reward for the return of his prized walking stick, which he believes he may have left somewhere in Crediton.
Neil Butterfield explained: “I am pretty confident I mislaid it when I left it behind after a rehearsal or performance of ‘Open the Book’ in Crediton.
“It must have been before lockdown.
“I could have left it behind at the Boniface Centre where we rehearsed, or at the primary school’s at Hayward’s, Yeoford or Landscore.
“I had thought I had left it in the wings at Hayward’s, but the staff assure me they have looked there.
“I was not allowed to look myself because of lockdown and of course my recollection may be at fault.”
He went on to explain: “It was a 70th birthday present to me from my eldest son and the silver band round the staff reads: ‘Sir Neil's Big Stick’.
“If anyone can help to restore it to me I should be really grateful.”
Neil is offering a reward for his walking stick’s return.
