PUPILS of Yeoford School created their own displays for Remembrance, one class decorating the gates to the school with poppies they had made.

They had been so impressed by the poppy installation at the Tower of London that they decided to surprise everyone with poppies on the morning of Armistice Day.

Working from the London design, they created and evaluated models to work out the best way to make poppies that would withstand being outside.

Originally they had been painted, then they discovered a design flaw, the paint peeled. They worked hard on a solution with the result looking amazing.

Another class designed and created their own artwork using the silhouettes of soldiers.
