THE Crediton ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund) fundraising group held “A Night at the Races” at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on Saturday, June 29.
Those who attended could place a bet on which horse would win from films shown after the bets had been placed.
A pasty supper was enjoyed by all who went along.
Bridget, one of the committee members, said afterwards: “We made in the region of £1,500 for ELF.
“We would like to thank all the sponsors and people that bought horses, prior to the event, as well as everyone that supported us on the night.
“Our next event is Meat Bingo at Crediton Football Club on Wednesday, July 17 beginning at 7.30pm.”
Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) is a registered charity providing vital support to patients with blood cancer and other disorders, who attend the Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD and E).
